Hayley Scrivenor
Hayley Scrivenor is a former festival director and the author of Dirt Town, which was published internationally in 2022 and quickly became an Australian number one bestseller. The novel has been shortlisted for multiple national and international awards, including Crimefest Bristol's Crime Fiction Debut Award, a Barry Award, Best First Novel in the 2023 International Thriller Writers Awards, and an Australian Indie Book Award. In 2023, it won the CWA's prestigious ILP John Creasey 'New Blood' Dagger, a Lambda Literary award, a Davitt Award for Best Debut Crime Book, and an ABIA for General Fiction Book of the Year. Dirt Town has been translated into several languages. Hayley has a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Wollongong and lives on Dharawal country, on the east coast of Australia.
Girl Falling is her second novel.
