Dr Souheir Edelbi
Dr Souheir Edelbi is a Lecturer in the School of Law at Western Sydney University (situated on the lands of the Darug, Eora, Dharawal and Wiradjuri nations). Her research is focused on race-making, coloniality and international justice, with an emphasis on the intersections between Third World Approaches to International Law, postcolonial studies, and critical race theory. Before joining academia, she worked as a legal researcher and advocacy officer with human rights organisations in Palestine and Belgium, supporting the rights of Palestinians and minorities in Iraq and Iran. She has extensive legal professional and insurance litigation experience.
