Join us for an exclusive in-conversation with local Archibald finalists and their subjects to discuss the people behind the portraits. This will be an insight into the complex process of creating a likeness and the relationships that develop along the journey of portraiture.

Hosted by ABC Sydney Radio presenter James Valentine with artist Robert Malherbe and subject Dana Rayson and artist Nick Stathopoulos with his subject Wayne Tunnicliffe, Curator at the Art Gallery of NSW.

James Valentine presents Breakfast on ABC Radio Sydney and is also a musician with his own jazz quartet. A familiar face on Australian television, James was the movie reviewer for many years on Showtime, a reporter and commentator on shows such as Sunrise, It Takes Two, Midday, Good Morning Australia and TVTV.
