DR KARL A Periodic Tale

  • Katoomba Community Centre 81-83 Katoomba Street Katoomba, NSW, 2780 Australia (map)

How did a shy Polish immigrant kid – Karl Sven Woytek Sas Konkovitch Matthew Kruszelnicki – evolve into the fabulously eccentric Dr Karl? With 48 books under his belt, this most definitely is not Dr Karl’s first rodeo, but it is his first memoir.

A lifetime learner with degrees in physics and mathematics, biomedical engineering, medicine and surgery, and careers as varied as physicist, labourer, roadie, car mechanic, filmmaker, biomedical engineer, taxi driver, TV weatherman and medical doctor, it’s hard to know where to start!

Join us for this special festival session with Dr Karl, a champion of science and a truly intriguing man.

This venue is wheelchair accessible, but please visit our Accessibility page or email hello@bluemountainswritersfestival.com.au if you have any other accessibility requirements.

Blue Mountains Writers’ Festival will have Auslan interpreters available for the Festival and will schedule them into sessions on request. Please complete the Auslan request question at checkout.

This session is presented in partnership with the Fairmont Resort, Leura.
