There’s a magic to first drafts. Their serendipity, energy and wildness can be wonderful. It can feel risky to redraft. This workshop draws on Felicity Plunkett’s decade as Poetry Editor at University of Queensland Press and her experience as a writer and editor of poetry and prose. Exploring various editors’ and writers’ techniques, the workshop will provide you with a range of tools and approaches to fearless redrafting of your pieces of writing.

Felicity Plunkett is the author of A Kinder Sea (UQP), Vanishing Point (UQP) and the chapbook Seastrands (Vagabond) and editor of Thirty Australian Poets (UQP). She is a widely published writer of reviews, essays and the occasional short story, and served as the Poetry Editor with University of Queensland Press for ten years.
