Antony Mann is an Australian writer, musician and filmmaker living in the Blue Mountains. His fiction has appeared in magazines around the world. In 1999, he won the UK Crime Writers Short Story Dagger for Taking Care of Frank, and was nominated for the same award in 2003. Also in 2003, his book Milo & I was published by Elastic Press in the UK and subsequently reprinted by Tokyo Sogensha as a mass-market paperback. A winner of the Best Short Film award at Edinburgh International Film Festival, in 2018 he founded Grey Ant Films with the aim of making independent films using local talent. Since then, as writer/director, he has made six short films which have won numerous awards globally.

Antony has always had a strong interest in writing for children and in 2023 his middle grade novel The Lost Ghosts of Lawson was published by Loose Parts Press. Since then the novel has been widely embraced by children and adults alike. Antony is currently working on a sequel, The Wild Ghosts of Woodford.
