On Film: Filmmaker Al Clark in Conversation with David Stratton

In a past life, Al Clark was journalist at Time Out magazine, then publicity director of Virgin Records in London, he has produced 20 feature films, including Nineteen Eighty-four, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Blessed and Red Hill. He joins legendary film critic, David Stratton, to talk lights, camera and action, and all things film. Please note that masks will be compulsory at this event, on the request of our speakers.

Al Clark is the author of three books: Raymond Chandler in Hollywood, Making Priscilla and his recent memoir, Time Flies. He has been the producer/executive producer of 20 films in the United Kingdom and Australia, including 'Nineteen Eighty-Four', 'Absolute Beginners', 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert', 'Chopper', 'Blessed' and 'Red Hill'.

David Stratton is Australia’s leading film critic. The Movie Show, in partnership with film critic Margaret Pomeranz, completed a 28-year run, becoming an iconic cultural icon.
