Deadly Science: When Cool Inventions Collide with Ancient Wisdom. With Corey Tutt and Cassie McCullagh

  • The Carrington Hotel 15-47 Katoomba Street Katoomba, NSW, 2780 Australia (map)

Corey Tutt* is a Kamilaroi man who dreamed of becoming a zookeeper. His love of science led him to become a founder of Deadly Science, a not-for-profit organisation that provides telescopes and science books to remote schools in Australia. Listen to Corey in conversation with Cassie McCullagh about his book The First Scientists: Deadly Inventions and Innovations from Australia's First Peoples. Hear how First Nations people passed on wisdom from the land, sea and sky through ancient stories that are important lessons in science to this day.
