Life, Love and Big Bonkers Families

  • The Carrington Hotel 15-47 Katoomba Street Katoomba, NSW, 2780 Australia (map)

Catherine Therese’s novel, Things She Would Have Said Herself, throws us into the world of Leslie Bird, a matriarch who loves being a wife and mother, but loathes her big bonkers family. An exhilarating and rambunctious story of life, relationships, detritus at the bottom of the wardrobe, and the messy love that, in this case, holds it all together. Hosted by Michaela Kalowski.

Catherine Therese is an award-winning writer, designer and educator whose memoir, The Weight of Silence, was a Sydney Morning Herald Book of the Year. Her latest novel Things She Would Have Said Herself, is a work of domestic fiction.

Michaela Kalowski is an interviewer, moderator and curator for ideas and writers festivals. She's interviewed the likes of Margaret Atwood, David Mitchell and Stan Grant. She's conducted interviews and presented programs across ABC radio, curates the annual on air writers festival, Big Weekend of Books, and recently co-wrote/co-presented the podcast Laya's Way Home for ABC Radio National.
