During this session Katherine Giles, from the Arts Law Centre of Australia, will take you through the ten things she loves about publishing agreements – and what to try to change if you’re unsure about the one that arrives in your inbox!
Katherine Giles has been a lawyer for 20 years and is the Head of Legal and Operations at the Arts Law Centre of Australia. She has worked in the legal team at Arts Law, in-house at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and in the intellectual property and media law team at the law firm MinterEllison.
The Blue Mountains Writers’ Festival is grateful to Arts Law for sponsoring and hosting this free session. Arts Law is a national community legal centre for the arts that aims to empower creators through using the law. It regularly advises writers on defamation and other legal issues.
