The Writer Laid Bare: Emotional Honesty in Writing

  • The Carrington Hotel 15-47 Katoomba Street Katoomba, NSW, 2780 Australia (map)

Managing a writing/life balance has never been more difficult. In conversation with author Roanna Gonsalves, bestselling writing mentor and author Lee Kofman explores this modern dilemma with wisdom and insight.

Whether you’re an emerging writer or a voracious reader wanting to know more, Lee’s latest book The Writer Laid Bare offers a practical pathway. An emotionally honest combination of raw memoir and professional writing toolkit, Lee provides not just sound advice for writers, but also anecdotes about motherhood and navigating the ubiquitous ‘pram in the hall’.

Lee Kofman is a Russian-born Israeli-Australian author, teacher and mentor based in Melbourne. Lee has written a number of novels, short stories and memoirs. Lee’s books include The Writer Laid Bare: Mastering Emotional Honesty in a Writer’s Art, Craft & Life and two memoirs: Imperfect and The Dangerous Bride.
